Uniforms

In keeping with the Mission, Vision and Values of IOK Islamic School, all students wear a uniform. This policy acknowledges a respect for self and others by supporting each student to actively and equitably participate fully in a healthy learning environment through the creation of a safe, inclusive and accepting school community.

Boys Uniform

Tops

Boys may wear an IOK-crested navy polo (long- or short-sleeved) or an IOK-crested navy blue hoodie/crewneck.

Pants

Boys must be in navy blue uniform pants. No joggers, jeans, or track pants are allowed to be worn to school on uniform days.

Girls Uniform

Tops

Girls in Kindergarten through Grade 2 may wear an IOK-crested white tunic or an IOK-crested navy blue hoodie. Girls are also allowed to wear a black or navy blue abaya in Grades 3 and 4. Tunics must be below knee length.

Pants

Girls are also required to wear black uniform pants with the above-mentioned items. No joggers, jeans, leggings or track pants are allowed to be worn to school on uniform days. A navy blue, black or white hijab is required in Grades 1-4. Pants must be loose-fitted.
